"The Hill"
My name is Eric Cannon. I attend Newberry High School. I'm 18 years old. Next year I will be attending Newberry College. I will run cross country for the Indians. Some of my hobbies include: running, hunting, fishing, and playing paintball.
My favorite team is the Clemson Tigers. I been a tiger fan since I was a little boy. On Saturdays, in the fall and during football season, you will find me enjoying a football game at " Death Valley." My favorite place in the whole stadium is "The Hill." Players rub Howard's Rock before running down "The Hill." This rock supposedly has mystical powers. My favorite football players are #43 Keith Adams, #9 Robert Carswell, #8 Travis Zachary, and #91 Bryant O'Neal. I also enjoy watching basketball and baseball. My favorite basketball player is #1 Will Soloman. My favorite baseball player is Patrick Boyd. He's one of the best outfielders in the nation.
I love to run. I run cross country and track for Newberry High School. I've been a 2-time region runner of the year in cross country. My best time for a 3.1 mile course is 17.40. My best times in track include: 1\2 mile 2.06, 1 mile 4.52, and a 10.47 in the 2 mile. Running is great because it relieves stress. I also get "high" when I run. This is my motto--------Dream BIG Work Hard. My dream is to run track and cross country at Clemson.
My role model is Steve Prefontain. Pre was the best American distance runner ever. He holds almost every American distance record. Pre is my role model because he had a "never give up attitude." I want to be just like him.
